People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is headquartered here in Norfolk, Virginia. A couple of times a year locally and quite a few other times nationally, PETA has these demonstrations whose theme is Human Skin In Animal Skin Out. Yes, as the pictures show these ladies only have on stockings and underwear. Yes, they are topless; pretty surprising, huh? This demonstration was October 21, 2000; and, yes, it was pretty chilly. These ladies and the gentleman are truly dedicated. The police were standing by I assume incase there were any problems with the local citizens. There were none. As it was Saturday and the demonstration was near MacArthur's Mall, the traffic was heavy. Nope, no problems at all. Yes, most of the folks driving by did gawk a little. I encourage you to take a look at the PETA site. Hey, maybe you'll forego a couple of steak dinners.
