How the Heck Did I End up With a Bouvier Puppy at Age Sixty-Six?

This 1988 photo is of Ellen and David Raper's Bouvier family including the mother, grandmother, and brother of a puppy I bought from them. Scout was a delightful companion, who sadly died of cancer at a young age. Though Scout never earned championship letters to put after her name, she was surely a champion in my mind; we had a great time at obedience trials and actually lucked out once, scoring 170 and earning a third place ribbon.
