Carolyn's Race

Carolyn's 1979 Volkswagen Scirocco #82 competes in ITC (Improved Touring (Class) C). A total of 16 cars started her race; 14 finished. Her competitors drove a variety of cars, including; Volkswagens, Datsuns, Fiats, Hondas, Toyotas, and a lone Ford Escort. After several laps, car positions settled somewhat, and Carolyn found herself battling with Beth Burkhard's Honda for eighth place. They traded positions several times but Burkhard finally edged her out. Carolyn finished ninth and had a personal best lap time of 1:36:920. After the completion of the race, Carolyn was fifth in MARRS points out of approximately thirty drivers.
